Qualified in 1983 and joined the practice in 1995. Having previously served in the RAMC and worked as a GP in Australia he is married with three daughters.

He also is a GP with a special interest in Dermatology (skin cancer), GP trainer, GP appraiser and medical student teacher (Bristol and Peninsula Medical schools), Honorary Fellow, examiner and academic tutor Peninsula Medical School.Other interests number tennis, bridge and moorland running/walking.
